The Virgin Mary appeared to three young children in the small Portuguese village of Fatima in 1917. "A Lady all in white, more bright than the sun... indescribably gorgeous," they said of Her. From May through October, she would come to them on the 13th of each month. She arrived with the promise that if Her demands for prayer, reparation, and consecration were honoured, God would provide peace to the whole globe, and so the children proceeded to tell others as her messengers. Some believed, while others laughed. On the day of her most recent visit, however, approximately 70,000 people, both believers and detractors, came to see the Miracle of the Sun! People gazed in amazement and dread as the sun danced about the sky before returning to its spot in the sky. People applauded in delight as their terror dissipated, for they had genuinely seen Mary's wondrous marvels!
