What Is Sacred Theology? (originally published in 1941 as The Concept of Sacred Theology) is renowned theologian Joseph Clifford Fenton’s doctoral dissertation, written under the direction of his mentor Reginald Garrigou-Lagrange, O.P. In these pages, Monsignor Fenton explains how the intellectual work of the theologian always proceeds from God’s revealed truth. Because God himself is holy, his teaching is holy. Thus, authentic theology is always sacred. What Is Sacred Theology? remains a valuable resource for all those who wish to understand the consecrated nature and purpose of theological science.

The second volume in Cluny Media’s Thomist Tradition book series, edited and introduced by Cajetan Cuddy, O.P., What Is Sacred Theology? offers clarity and wisdom for all those interested in sacred truth and desirous of its saving effects.
