Teresa of Avila, also known as Teresa of Jesus, was born into a wealthy family in 1515. She loved Jesus very much and when she received the Holy Eucharist she could feel his great love. Teresa grew up and became a Carmelite nun but felt that they needed more time for quiet and prayer, so she started a new Carmelite convent. They prayed for the Church, for sinners, and for people who did not love God. 

This book is part of the Saints for Sacraments collection from the Saints and Me! series of children's books (for ages 4-9).
