"Peter Karl Koritansky’s Engaging the Sceptic cuts through interminable modern disagreements between believers and atheists about God, personal identity and morality. He not only says what is wrong with the materialism and scientism of today’s atheist from a Catholic perspective, he actually enters into the mindset of leading thinkers through history and today, showing the weaknesses of this approach on its own terms.

His assessment is clear, engaging and devastating."

~ Dr. Jason West, Principal, Newman Theological College, Edmonton

"This is a thorough refutation of the new atheism, written in a language accessible to any educated layperson. A book to be shunned at all costs by anyone wishing to remain comfortable in his scepticism."

~ Richard Bastien, Book Review Editor, Convivium Magazine

"This book is an invitation to visit the sunlit garden of philosophy in
the company of a lucid guide. Don’t just go as a tourist. If you let him, Koritansky will teach you how to detect the noxious weeds of scientism, materialism and atheism that fester in the shadows at the garden’s perimeter. He’ll show you how to pull them out of your soul by the roots, and leave them to wither in the sun."

~ Graeme Hunter, Professor Emeritus of Philosophy, University of Ottawa
