The four evangelists, commonly known as the gospel authors (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), played important roles in developing the New Testament. John's gospel, often represented as an eagle, soars with deep spiritual truths. These four authors provide a variety of viewpoints on Jesus' life and teachings.
