Beautiful! This new Word on Fire bible has everything I hoped it would have. Background, context, informative, depth, spiritually uplifting and beauty ... I could go on. I just ordered 2 more for Christmas gifts for members of the family. If the unaffiliated take the time to read it (even the introduction hooks you in) they will fall in love with Jesus and celebrate their gift of Faith once again.

I own several Bibles but nothing like this one. Along with the gospels their significance is opened by homilies and reflections that add depth and understanding, truly seeing the Bible as an incredibly unique source of knowledge and direction on living a life that seems an adventure: unpredictable, transcendent, profound, meaningful, bringing the fullness of what it means to be human. Bishop Barron and the team of Word on Fire understand the way of beauty in so many of the details that make this a worthwhile volume to add to any library. It's so beautiful that it invites holding and treating with reverence as if it spoke to your heart, inviting you to see what is about, and judge for yourself.
